CORNERSTONE CHILDREN’S HOME: ( A Journey from CCI  into F-BAC Program)

From 2004 till May 2023, DKSHA Society has worked tirelessly for the welfare of children. My journey began with an orphanage, as I grew up in one myself. Back then, it was all I knew, and naturally, it became my aspiration to help other children in similar situations. Cornerstone Children’s Home was started with 4 children In the year 2004 and then slowly the number increased up to 78 in 2013 and We had such a lot of challenges to provide all needs to these children, But then Everything changed in August 2013 when we partnered with Miracle Foundation. Through this partnership, I discovered an alternative to institutional care: family-based care. By that time, I had my own family, and the joy and security of raising my children in a loving home made me realize that I didn’t want any child to grow up without that same experience. I could no longer imagine my own children growing up in an institution. That realization, coupled with the structured support and insights provided by Miracle Foundation, reshaped not only Cornerstone’s mission but also my personal journey.

In 2019, we fully embraced Miracle Foundation’s Family-Based Alternative Care strategy. It became our guiding principle and commitment. Today, every child we support lives in a safe, loving family environment. Every child who once called our childcare institution home is now thriving within a family. Now our mission is clear: A family for every child in our lifetime. We’re committed to making this vision a reality for all children because every child deserves the love, care, and security of a family.

By the end of Mary 2023, DKSHA Society has closed the Children’s Home and fully working for all our children living in their own families following a new Change of Strategy called F-BAC: Family – Based Alternative Care.
